Abstract

The scale of the global financial crisis is unprecedented and major economies, including the United States, United Kingdom, and China, have launched a set of measures seeking to boost the economic situation. The effect of these incentives on economic growth has not yet been seen though. Nevertheless, these incentives have slowed down the economic declines in the industry. In addition, as demand in some markets has stabilized in the second quarter in comparison with the first quarter, some motherboard manufacturers have seen their revenue grow faster in the second quarter than in the first. The industry's shipment in the second quarter is estimated to see a 2.3% sequential decline, better than originally anticipated. The second-quarter motherboard shipment volume is predicated to arrive at 32.08 million units.
